Automated nitrogen endogas solution for optimized annealing at lower costs and controls the furnace atmosphere and regulates the amounts of externally supplied furnace gases. The control enables an exact adjustment of the furnace atmosphere to the product qualities to be treated and thus very good reproducibility.
In the CARBOTHAN® process, methanol is stored in a tank and transported to the point of use through the control system. Nitrogen is drawn from a tank of liquefied gas. The methanol is finely distributed with nitrogen into the hot furnace chamber by the special spray lance CTL. At temperatures above 850 °C cracking takes place.
