Central Gas Systems

Delivering your gases safely and efficiently from a central storage facility to the point of use

If your gases are stored in central cylinders, bundles or tanks, you will need a gas supply system to safely and efficiently distribute those gases internally to the point of use. We have a wide hardware portfolio for every step in the distribution chain. Our hardware offering covers everything from typical industrial hardware installations to high-purity solutions such as LASERLINE®. Regardless of the specific application, all central gas supply systems have certain common components:

• Gas supply from a tank or manifold system
• Safety equipment
• Pipelines
• Tapping point.

Tanks

A cryogenic tank is generally the preferred option for steady, high-volume needs. These systems consist of a super-isolated tank and an evaporator. The evaporator transforms liquid into gas. We deliver tanks of all sizes to fit your individual volume requirements.

Manifolds

The manifold consists of all the equipment required to connect the cylinder or bundle to the supply system and ensure a given flow and pressure. The capacity of the manifold is based on maximum consumption. We deliver pressure monitoring and semi-automatic changeover functionality for double-sided manifolds to ensure you enjoy uninterrupted gas flow.

Safety equipment

All of our hardware complies with the relevant standards and regulations for pressurised equipment. Our standard safety equipment includes safety valves, flame arrestors, flashback arrestors and non-return valves. We also deliver a sophisticated range of gas detection solutions and customer-specific solutions.

Tapping points

The tapping point consists of a valve and a pressure regulator. Depending on the type of gas you need, we deliver tapping points for flammable gases, shielding gases, oxygen, etc.

Gas detection room monitoring

It is now a legal requirement to have permanent room monitoring if using liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide.

Where people work, safety comes first

Cryogenic refrigeration and freezing processes commonly use liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide. Fine gases for your production process, but both have the property that they can expel the oxygen that we all breathe. The solution is room monitoring by gas detection. In the production area(s) of your company the oxygen content must be at least 19% and there is a limit of 0.5% for the carbon dioxide percentage if work is carried out in that area(s) for a longer period of time. Linde Gas Benelux attaches great importance to gas detection methods that increase personal safety. After all, safety always comes first!

Room monitoring with gas detection equipment

It is now a legal requirement to have permanent room monitoring if you use liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide in the environment where people work.
