Carbon dioxide for PUR foaming processes is a viable alternative for continuous and discontinuous foaming processes. High-pressure supply systems and metering devices developed by Linde in close cooperation with industry partners are extremely efficient and meet the latest technological requirements. The choice of system depends on the flow rate of carbon dioxide and the pressure used in the foaming process.
Advantages
In addition to the environmental aspects, CO2 technology offers economic advantages, including above all optimized raw material consumption and less foam waste. In addition, foams produced with CO2 as blowing agent have lower density, very good quality and uniform cell structure.
Intertgas metering device
The patented DSD 500 metering device enables precise metering of inert gases, e.g. gaseous nitrogen or liquid CO2 into an extruder, injection molding machine or PUR foaming system. The flow rate is controlled extremely precisely and independently of pressure, temperature or type of gas.
Booster systems for liquid CO2
Choose from our wide range of high-performance low-pressure pump systems for liquid CO2 for your foaming process. The systems with max. 80 bar can be used to supply any type of metering pumps with bubble-free liquid CO2. The CO2 pressure can be adjusted according to your needs.
